Y’s lounge opens at Mt. Fuji Restaurant

Mt. Fuji Japanese Steakhouse, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the opening of Y’s Lounge.

Perched high on a 40-acre private mountain in Rockland County, NY, the new lounge is an elegant and comfortable space adjacent to the main restaurant with views of the Ramapo Valley. Owner Yoshimasa Tadato has designed this lounge for guests who want to enjoy specialty cocktails and Japanese fusion dishes.

At the helm of the cuisine is Executive Chef Yoshio Shinohara, a graduate of the renowned International Koen Culinary Institute, and formerly with the celebrated restyaurant Megu in NY and Hotel Okura in Japan. He has created a modern menu that features artistically presented dishes using the finest Japanese imported ingredients.

Start your evening with a refreshing Yuzu Mint Cocktail, a Japanese style mojito made with Yamayuzu infused Sake, St. Germain elderflower, fresh mint and lime juice.

Also order the signature Grilled Unagi and Guacamole, a serving of three melt-in-your-mouth bites of grilled eel on top of a dollop of guacamole and baked Mentaiko spicy mayonnaise.
