Salon Art + Design’s 15th Edition at NY Park Avenue Armory

Forty international galleries and ten special design exhibitions bring together exceptional design, contemporary art, fine jewelry and decorative arts for one of New York’s most anticipated annual showcases.

New York’s art and design scene welcomes back Salon Art + Design, at the historic Park Avenue Armory November 4–8, 2026, for its 15th edition. Produced by Sanford L. Smith + Associates, the fair has established itself as an important destination for collectors, designers, art enthusiasts and those who appreciate exceptional craftsmanship and creative innovation.

Under the leadership of Executive Director Nicky Dessources, Salon continues to evolve beyond the traditional art and design fair. This year’s presentation brings together 40 international galleries alongside 10 Special Design Exhibitions by leading designers and studios. The result is a wide-ranging exploration of the increasingly fluid boundaries between art, design, fashion and craft.

Visitors can expect an intriguing mix of rare midcentury furniture, experimental fine jewelry, sculptural lighting, contemporary art and decorative arts. Established international galleries will share the spotlight with innovative studios offering fresh interpretations of materials, forms and traditional craftsmanship.

Exceptional Design, Historic Craftsmanship and Contemporary Vision

Among this year’s highlights is a presentation by Vitra, marking the 100th birthday of legendary Danish designer Verner Panton. The company will introduce the U.S. debut of its Panton Chair Classic Gold, a limited edition of just 999 pieces worldwide.

Its striking mirror-like gold finish brings to life a vision Panton explored in the 1970s but could not realize with the technology available at the time.

Jewelry also takes an unusual turn at this year’s fair. Mellerio, founded in 1613 and recognized as the world’s oldest jewelry house, will present a new collection of diamond and white-gold nail jewelry. Based on an original Maison patent filed in 1951, these delicate high-jewelry ornaments transform the fingernail into an unexpected canvas, anticipating today’s fascination with nail art by more than seven decades.

New York-based fine jewelry house DYNE, founded by Sarah Ysabel Narici, will make its first venture into watchmaking with a timepiece incorporating a vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre movement and specially hand-cut cabochon diamonds.

The creation extends the brand’s distinctive sculptural approach to jewelry into a new category.

Another noteworthy presentation comes from Bossa Furniture of São Paulo. Its exhibition, A Casa Paulista: Pioneers of São Paulo Modern Interiors, will feature a rare original 1951 Bowl Chair by Brazilian architect and designer Lina Bo Bardi.

Conceived as an immersive 1950s Brazilian living room, the installation revisits the designers and studios that helped shape São Paulo’s modernist identity.

Furniture and Lighting as Sculptural Art

Among the historical design pieces on view, Donzella will present a rare illuminated desk by French designer Jean Royère, dating to approximately 1955. Originally commissioned for antiques dealer André Castoriano in Lima, Peru, the desk is crafted in mahogany, brass and bamboo caning. The piece offers a glimpse into Royère’s international commissions and his distinctive approach to modern design.

From Mexico City, Sten Studio, collaborating with designer Jorge Brown, will debut ENTRETIEMPO, a collectible lighting collection inspired by the pleated and origami-like lampshades of the 1960s and 1970s.

Reinterpreted in translucent onyx, with carved stone shades paired with marble and travertine, the collection transforms traditionally lightweight forms into striking sculptural objects.

David Gill Gallery will bring a 2018 banquette by designer Sebastian Brajkovic. Combining patinated bronze with intricately embroidered upholstery, the limited-edition piece, produced in an edition of eight, transforms a familiar furniture form into an almost surreal sculptural creation, challenging conventional ideas of proportion, craftsmanship and function.

Where Art, Craft and Material Meet

At Hostler Burrows, Finnish artist Marianne Huotari will present Night in the Arboretum (2026), a monumental hand-beaded glazed-stoneware work measuring more than six feet across. Its richly textured composition blurs the boundaries between ceramics, textiles and painting, demonstrating how an ancient material can become an unexpected medium for contemporary artistic expression.

Los Angeles-based jewelry house VRAM will unveil a new evolution of its Moment V collection, alongside a collaboration with acclaimed ceramicist Peter Lane. Bringing together new jewelry, bespoke ceramics and a collaborative sculptural object, the presentation combines Lane’s clay craftsmanship with VRAM’s cast-bronze metalwork. It also marks the jewelry house’s first exploration beyond jewelry.

Meanwhile, Cristina Grajales Gallery will present works by American artist Tracy Krumm, who combines industrial metal with traditional weaving techniques to create sculptural compositions that challenge the distinction between art and craft. Incorporating patinas developed from minerals and plants grown in her own garden, Krumm transforms rigid materials into intricate, organic forms that explore the relationship between nature, materials and handmade artistry.

A Destination for Collectors and Design Enthusiasts

The 15th edition of Salon Art + Design reflects the growing international interest in collectible design and the expanding dialogue between traditional decorative arts and contemporary creativity. From historic European jewelry craftsmanship to Brazilian modernist furniture, experimental lighting and innovative sculptural works, the fair offers an opportunity to discover how artists and designers continue to redefine the objects that surround us.

Participating galleries include David Gill Gallery (London), Galerie Marcilhac (Paris), Hostler Burrows (New York), Cristina Grajales Gallery (New York) and Donzella (New York), alongside innovative presentations from Sten Studio (Mexico City) and Bossa Furniture (São Paulo), among others.

For collectors, interior designers and anyone with an appreciation for exceptional objects, Salon Art + Design promises an engaging encounter with the past, present and future of art and design.
