Fall Foliage Tours on the Hudson with NY Waterway

The autumn colors come and go quickly, so a great way to catch some of the season’s blazing foliage is by sailing up the Hudson River with one of NY Waterway Shades of Autumn’ Fall Foliage Tours. The tours run through November 21st on Saturdays and Sundays, departing from Midtown/West 39th Street and Port Imperial/Weehawken ferry terminals.

The tour is a four and a half hour narrated cruise up to the Croton area, North of The New Tappan Zee Bridge. In addition to the visual tapestry of turning leafs, the tour offers a glimpse into the Hudson River rich history and its pivotal role in our country’s past.

As you glide up the river, the guide will highlight the main buildings and events along the route. Places you’re somewhat familiar with come to live as you pass by the Grant Tomb, the Riverside Church, the Cloisters, the Bronx , the GW Bridge, the Hamilton/Burr duel site, the majestic Palisades, Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse, Benedict Arnold West Point plot, Washington battles and retreat, and much more.
