Rooms: There are 33 Oceanfront Lodge rooms and eighteen two- and three-bedroom Oceanfront Cottages, each with a private balcony or patio with views of the Pacific. All rooms have bike and surfboard racks, Oregon-hardwood floors, glass-wall showers, soaking tubs, custom Pendleton blankets, and snack pantries. Cottages have fully-equipped kitchens that can be stocked in advance, gas grills, and jetted indoor soaking tubs. Some rooms and cottages are dog-friendly.
On Site: A gym and spa offering group fitness classes, beauty treatments, a steam room, and an outdoor hot tub and fireplace overlooking the beach. Meeting and event spaces are also available for up to sixteen guests.
Food + Drink: Meridian, a casual, but elegant open-kitchen restaurant and bar with water views, serves Pacific Northwest-focused food made with ingredients from the ocean, local farms, and the owner’s own herb garden.

The sky’s the limit when it comes to experiencing nature at Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa. The hotel is surrounded by ocean, rivers, beaches, and trails. Based at the edge of Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area, guests can do everything from digging for clams and tidepooling to surfing and horseback riding lessons. After a long day outside, visitors can retreat next door to the owner’s other business, Pelican Brewing Company, for sunset drinks with a prime view of the ginormous 235-foot Haystack Rock.
