VENTANAS Restaurant & Lounge, the new trendy restaurant at the Modern hi-rise building in Fort Lee, NJ, hosted an interactive wine tasting experience in collaboration with Riedel Stemware, followed by a gourmet 3-course dinner by Chef David Burke.
The wine seminar and tasting featured wine educators Gerry Piserchia and Julio Ruiz who demonstrated the differences in wine glasses from the Riedel Performance collection, and how each creates a distinct sipping experience specially designed for each specific wine. The tasting included the following vintages, each served in a varietal specific glass.
- Napa Valley, Sauvignon Blanc Flora Springs 2017.
- Sonoma County, Russian River. Oaky Chardonnay, Hartford Court 2017
- Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola-Amity Hills. Pinot Noir, Roserock 2015
- Sonoma County, Alexander Valley. Forefathers “Lone Tree,” Alexander Valley 2017, Cabarnet.
Participants received the Riedel glasses (On Amazon at $112) to enjoy at home with their favorite wines
The 3-course dinner by Chef David Burke featured a selection of his favorite dishes with a American, Asian and Cuban flair:
- Appetizers: Salmon Pastrami, Clothesline Bacon and Tuna Tartar Tacos
- Entrée: Choice of Herb Roasted Chicken, Branzino & Artichoke Puree or Filet Mignon
