The Pinnacle of Global Design

Salon Art + Design, produced by Sanford L. Smith + Associates, took place at the Park Avenue Armory, transforming the landmark venue into a showcase of exceptional art and design. This 14th edition, under the executive direction of Nicky Dessources, presented the world’s finest vintage, modern, and contemporary collectible design alongside blue-chip artworks.

Inside the Armory’s grand halls, visitors enjoyed nearly 50 booths filled with antique discoveries, mid-century icons, and contemporary masterpieces from the world’s most respected dealers. Salon’s distinctive boundary-agnostic approach brought together furniture, fine art, lighting, decorative objects, and design installations in one cohesive setting—reflecting how today’s collectors live with and experience art.

A Global Roster of Galleries

This year’s edition featured a powerful international lineup, including Galerie Chastel-Maréchal (Paris), Bernard Goldberg Fine Art (New York), Wexler Gallery (Philadelphia), and Gallery FUMI (London). Together, they offered a survey that spanned French mid-century masters to contemporary Japanese art. Emerging galleries such as Sceners (London), JCRD (London), Crosta Smith Gallery (Paris), and Jacqueline Sullivan Gallery (New York) introduced bold new perspectives and genre-bending designers to the fair.

Expanding the Conversation

Salon continues to evolve as a platform where design, art, and craftsmanship intersect. From heritage maisons to innovative studios, exhibitors explored the expanding boundaries of collectible design through materials, form, and function. Jewelry also remained part of the dialogue, with designers such as Cora Sheibani, DYNE, and Fernando Jorge presenting new interpretations of wearable art within the broader design narrative.

The fair’s Design + Art Advisory Council included cultural leaders and tastemakers such as Jen Rubio, Everette Taylor, Linda Fargo, Beth Rudin deWoody, Nathalie DeGunzburg, Andre Mellone, Pierre Yovanovitch, Jill Kargman, and Colin King, all contributing to Salon’s unique curatorial vision.

A Landmark Setting for Design

Set within the historic Park Avenue Armory, once home to New York’s prestigious Seventh Regiment of the National Guard, Salon merged architectural heritage with contemporary creativity. The Armory’s interiors provided a fitting stage for works that transcend eras and aesthetics, reinforcing Salon’s status as a defining event in New York’s cultural calendar.
