Pompano Beach is an emerging Florida destination nestled between Boca Raton to the North and Fort Lauderdale to the South. Its main attractions are a pristine beach, diving sites and proximity to everything. It is the perfect vacation spot.
If you want to enjoy Florida’s sun, surf and sand book a few days at the oceanfront Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa.
LOBBY and ROOMS
As you enter the stylishly decorated lobby you are greeted by a hint of coconut scent, the resort’s signature aroma that instantly puts you in vacation mode.
The reception staff is friendly and efficient and check-in is a breeze.
Accommodations are in two towers with a total of 194 guest rooms and 25 suites with balconies overlooking the Atlantic.
We were hosted in room 301, a large executive suite furnished with a plush king bed, spacious sitting alcove and work area. The wrap-around terrace faced the ocean and hotel pool.
DINING
The resort’s McCoy Restaurant offers buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu features seasonal, local ingredients with a focus on Florida seafood. The hotel’s beachfront lounge pays homage to Prohibition-era Bill McCoy, offering a drink menu that evokes his rum-running days. (The real McCoy).
If you want to experience dining outside the hotel, simply scan the concierge’s large selection of printed menus and even coupons to most area restaurants.
RELAXING
The resort is home to SiSpa, a seaside sanctuary inspired by the healing powers of the ocean. It is an intimate oasis dedicated to wellness and pampering.
Indulge yourself in their signature facial, a heavenly, marine inspired treatment with sea-based products for hydration and relaxation. It also includes an arm and neck massage and concludes with a glass of bubbly.
You can also exercise in the 24-hour fitness center, ride a bicycle or just work on your tan by the pool or on the beach. Your $20 resort fee covers two beach chairs and one umbrella.
