The 33rd Annual Holiday Train Show® at the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG), took place from November 16, 2024, through January 20, 2025. This cherished New York City tradition brought together festive cheer, intricate artistry, and a celebration of architectural history, making it a must-see for locals and visitors alike.
A Beloved NYC Tradition
The historic Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, housed some 200 miniature replicas of iconic landmarks crafted from natural materials like bark, acorns, and cinnamon sticks. Model trains and trolleys winded their way through this stunningly detailed display, including classic sites such as the original Penn Station, Yankee Stadium, and the Brooklyn Bridge. The 2024-25 addition of the Hearst Tower marked the 60th anniversary of New York City’s Landmarks Law, blending preservation with forward-thinking design.
Outside, the magic continued on the Conservatory Lawn, where trains chugged through a scenic outdoor display featuring towering mountains, winter-interest plants, and forest animals.
