A Two+ Hour Extravaganza
The show recreated the magic of the 80+ year-old Viennese Neujahrskonzert—a concert presented by the Vienna Philharmonic every New Year’s Day. Salute to Vienna brought this tradition to North America with a 21/4 -hour performance of dancing, duets, and arias from light operettas. In, NY the celebrated conductor Gregory Vajda lead the Strauss Symphony of America in a concert of joy and cultural celebration.

Salute to Vienna featured popular waltzes as well as selections from some of the most famous operettas superbly performed by soprano Sera Gosch and tenor Brian Cheney. This concert provided a unique opportunity to experience highlights of some of the best Viennese music along with ballroom sets and ballets performed by talented dancers from the Austrian Europaballett.
