AmaWaterways has announced its newest and biggest ship ever, the AmaMagna. Twice the width of traditional European river cruisers, the ship will accommodate up to 196 guests in 98 state rooms, most over 355 square feet.
The ship will feature luxurious living spaces, multiple dining options including a glass-enclosed restaurant, more onboard activities and enhanced evening entertainment.
Additional amenities include an open-water sports platform, a large heated sundeck swimming pool with whirlpool and sky bar, a spacious spa area with new treatments, a fitness room large enough for small group classes, and large common areas.
The ship will debut a quieter and more fuel-efficient engine, a first for river cruising.
A family-owned company celebrating 15 years on the river, AmaWaterways offers unforgettable river cruises with 20 ships that sail Europe’s Danube, Rhine, Moselle, Main, Rhone, Seine, Garonne, Dordogne, Dutch and Belgian Waterways and Douro Rivers, Southeast Asia’s Mekong and Africa’s Chobe River.
The company is renowned for its innovative stateroom design featuring unique “twin balconies,” for its shore excursions that also feature biking and hiking options, and its award-winning dining—including The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant and complimentary fine wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner
